With the holiday season comes a sense of connection, community and teamwork—but these values are demonstrated in Lilburn all year long. The City of Lilburn, in partnership with the Lilburn Community Improvement District (CID), continues to work toward a brighter future for the community through safety enhancements, mobility improvements and beautification efforts. This bright future is evident in current projects like the Bryson Park/Hood Road roundabout, and new initiatives on the horizon, such as updates along U.S.-29.

New Transformations Coming to U.S.-29 |
|
|
We are excited to share that the Lilburn CID, the City of Lilburn and the Downtown Development Authority are collaborating on an ambitious series of projects aimed at enhancing mobility, pedestrian activity and the overall aesthetic appearance of our community. These initiatives are designed to set the stage for upscale retail development along U.S.-29, transforming the area into a vibrant and dynamic destination.
This collaboration is committed to creating an environment that attracts developers while celebrating Lilburn's rich history and strong sense of community. Through public-private partnerships, we aim to design a pedestrian-friendly space that also thoughtfully balances the needs of automobile and truck traffic, ensuring safety, mobility and accessibility.
“Our goal is to transform the U.S.-29 corridor into a pedestrian-safe, live, work, play environment while maintaining its function as a major transportation and freight route,” said Tad Leithead, executive director – Lilburn CID.
As we look to the future, we are inspired by the successful development strategies of Alpharetta and Suwanee. To gather insights and explore best practices, CID representatives and City of Lilburn officials recently toured Alpharetta, gaining valuable knowledge to guide our vision. These efforts will help us shape a brighter future for Lilburn while preserving its charm and history.

The Bryson Park/Hood Road Roundabout Project Continues |

|
Progress is steadily moving forward on the Bryson Park/Hood Road roundabout, and Lilburn CID is excited to share updates on this transformative project for our community. We’re grateful to the dedicated team working tirelessly to bring this project to life, enhancing safety and accessibility for all who travel through the area.
Aiming for a spring 2025 completion, the Bryson Park/Hood Road roundabout is designed to improve both visibility and safety for drivers and pedestrians alike. This infrastructure upgrade will help ease traffic congestion, streamline traffic flow and create a safer route for Lilburn’s residents and visitors. Once completed, the roundabout will offer a more efficient, accessible and welcoming roadway in our community.
We thank you for your support as we work to make Lilburn a safer, more connected place to live and work.

We’re always excited to welcome new businesses to the district—especially unique establishments that bring people together and create a vibrant community atmosphere!
One of these new additions, The Bubbly Goat, is a charming wine bar and market that recently opened. This family-owned gem offers an eclectic selection of wines and beautifully crafted charcuterie boards featuring cheeses and cured meats from both local and international sources. The Bubbly Goat is more than just a place to enjoy great food and drink; it also hosts regular events like live music performances and free wine tastings, making it a perfect gathering spot for friends, neighbors and newcomers.
We’re equally thrilled to welcome Haven Bodega! Located in the heart of historic downtown Lilburn, this modern bodega provides a thoughtfully curated selection of everyday essentials, mouth-watering deli options and aromatic espresso. Haven Bodega is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where patrons can enjoy great food, uplifting music and the warmth of good company. With its community-centered approach, Haven Bodega is quickly becoming an anchor in the neighborhood, fostering connections and a sense of belonging.
These two businesses are wonderful additions to our district, offering inviting spaces where residents and visitors can come together, enjoy quality food and drinks and build lasting connections. We’re proud to have The Bubbly Goat and Haven Bodega join our community and look forward to watching them flourish!
