A true mission moment for MARC 💙Â
We are incredibly proud to share that Jacob was honored by the Connecticut Council on Developmental Services with the Award for Self-Advocacy. This recognition reflects his determination, leadership, and commitment to amplifying the voices of the IDD community.Â
We were honored to celebrate him after this recognition, alongside our President & CEO, Kevin Zingler, was also presented with recognition as a Past Council Member, making it a truly remarkable day for both Jacob and Kevin. A day of celebration, advocacy, and impact that truly reflects what our mission is all about.

This month, MARC, Inc. celebrated a major milestone with the groundbreaking of a new supportive housing community in partnership with Metro Realty. The project was made possible through the support of the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services, Connecticut Housing Finance Authority, Connecticut Department of Housing, and M&T Bank.
This opportunity is more than new housing, this future community represents independence, belonging, and a more inclusive future for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
We can’t wait for the grand opening of this new supportive housing community!
|
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this meaningful milestone, especially Geoffrey W. Sager, Ben Tripp, Larry Byar, Craig Zimmerman, Andrew Paterna, Michael Maniscalco, Nandini Natarajan, Seila Mosquera-Bruno, Elisa Velardo, representatives from M&T Bank , and all state and federal officials in attendance, including John Larson for your continued support and advocacy for the IDD community.
