‘Living Right With Dr. Ray’ Show Tapings |
“Living Right With Dr. Ray,” the television show broadcast globally on the EWTN network, will be taping two episodes on the Walsh University campus. Cav Nation is invited to attend one or both of the tapings, with the opportunity to meet and interact with host Raymond N. Guarendi, Ph.D., a Catholic clinical psychologist, author and nationally syndicated radio and television host. The tapings will take place at 5:30 and 7:15 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 10, in the Barrette Business and Community Center. Audience members are asked to arrive 30 minutes before taping begins. Each taping is expected to last 60 to 90 minutes. Light refreshments will be available. The episodes taping at Walsh are:
5:30 p.m., “Finding Hope After Loss” – Dr. Ray will welcome Mark and Christi Tripodi of Cornerstone of Hope to discuss how children, teens and adults can cope with the death of a loved one. Since 2003, Cornerstone of Hope has worked toward a world where no grieving person journeys alone.
7:15 p.m., “Supporting Students When They Leave Home” – Dr. Ray will welcome Rachel Hosler, Ph.D., Walsh University’s vice president for student experience, and Father Ryan Furlong, university chaplain, to explore how family relationships and faith evolve when a young adult leaves home. Both will share insights into the challenges students face while living on their own for the first time and how families can support them through that transition.
The tapings are free to attend, but registration is required. Audience members will be asked to check in at registration when they arrive. Register for tickets.

More Than a Refresh: The Continued Evolution of Research Guides |
If you've visited the Brother Edmond Drouin Library's Research Guides recently, you may have noticed some changes. While maintaining and updating guides is a routine part of library work, many of this fall's projects have been driven by a larger goal: transforming Research Guides from collections of resources into tools that actively support learning. Earlier this year, the library introduced its “From Lists to Learning” initiative, a commitment to designing guides that help users do more than locate information. We want our guides to help students think critically, build research skills, make informed decisions and connect what they find to their academic work. Learn more.
