Good morning! Michelin has expanded its support of Clemson through the Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD) presented by Michelin. The 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Leaders Network names a new cohort; Eleven students will travel to Washington, D.C., for ACC Advocacy Days.

Natasha Croom, Michael LeMahieu, Karolina Mukhtar and Danny Weathers were selected for the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Leaders Network (ACC ALN) program. The program fosters cross-institutional networking and collaboration among ACC universities while increasing each institution's academic leadership capacity.

A research team led by Marek Urban, the J.E. Sirrine Foundation Endowed Chair and Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, published findings on how thermoplastics hold together, opening the door for various applications from self-repairing hydrogen-pumping hoses to more durable batteries.

Eleven undergraduate students will travel to Washington, D.C. next week for ACC Advocacy Days — a gathering of student government leaders from schools in the ACC. The students, along with Associate Vice President and Dean of Students Kimberly Poole and Director of Advocacy for Governmental Affairs Beth Bell, will spend a full day meeting with elected South Carolina Congressional leaders.

The February Professional Development Calendar (Pro-Dev) from the Office of Human Resources is now available. The Pro-Dev Calendar displays upcoming professional development opportunities offered by OHR and other campus partners and includes links to sign up through Tiger Training.
