• Nominations are open for the 2026 Spring Awards, including several with deadlines during January. These awards recognize exemplary instruction, leadership and service to Clemson University and the broader community. Awards specifically for students are now open as well.

• New incoming and transfer students beginning at Clemson this term visit campus today for Ready, Set, Roar!, Clemson's Orientation experience. The full schedule is available online.

• Jane Dever, director of the Pee Dee Research and Education Center, has been inducted into the Cotton Research and Promotion Hall of Fame. A professor in the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences and a prominent cotton breeder, Dever was recognized for her significant contributions to cotton research, genetics and the industry’s growth.

• A new furniture design course offered by the Department of Art guides students from concept to completed piece, blending research, theory and hands-on fabrication. Students explore both historical craftsmanship and modern methods as they create their own functional works.

In the latest Elevate Well-Being blog, Tracy Arwood, associate vice president and chief ethics and compliance officer, discusses the importance of ethics in well-being. As co-founder of The Nook, Arwood also highlights invaluable resources provided by the University to the Clemson community.
