Wolcott Foundation Expands Legacy of Support of Public Affairs Students with $4 Million Gift
GW Provost, GW President, and President of Wolcott Foundation
The Wolcott Foundation's new $4 million dollar commitment follows 70 years of fellowships for graduate students at GW pursuing public affairs. Over 500 students have received awards directly from the Wolcott Foundation. With this endowment gift, the university will be selecting new fellows.
Former fellow Alivia P. Roberts, M.P.A. ‘20 and director of federal government affairs at the Motion Picture Association, noted that “Being a Wolcott Fellow gave me an advantage when entering the workforce and in my life. I am so grateful for the foundation’s commitment in helping students like me become better versions of themselves, build relationships with like-minded scholars, and serve their communities.”
