Happy Volunteer Appreciation Week!

Since we were founded in 1986, volunteers have been the backbone of all we do, allowing us to build, renovate or repair over 750 homes in Central Florida. Thank you to our construction volunteers, corporate sponsors and partners who swing hammers on the build site. We’re especially grateful for our volunteers who keep us going with their everlasting devotion to our mission: our Board of Directors, homeownership mentors, educators and construction crew leaders. Thank you all for all you do!

Homeowner spotlight: Knetha

Knetha has always wanted to provide a safe home for her sons, 21-year-old Jamarieae who has cerebral palsy and 19-year-old Ricardo. That’s why she was overjoyed to partner with us to purchase a home, with custom accessibility features, that truly fits into her budget.

“This has been a long time in the making for me,” she said. “Even though I wish my sons could have had this home when they were younger, I’m happy that I can provide this for them now. They will always have a safe place that they can come back to.”

Demings and President & CEO Catherine Steck McManus on March 30 to celebrate our combined efforts to provide Central Floridians with affordable opportunities to become homeowners. Builders Blitz from the sky

Check out this amazing bird's eye view of our Builders Blitz 2022 event, where five local builders - Jack Jennings & Sons, Park Square Homes, PCL Construction, Pulte Homes and Walker & Company - along with their subcontractors and vendors, built homes for six hardworking Central Florida families in five days, donating all of the materials and labor.
