The next phase of our unit name change, announced in January, to the Center for Advancing Student Learning is to transition our primary email address. Beginning Monday, March 2, 2026, we will be moving our email from cetl@uwm.edu to advancing-learning@uwm.edu. Please update your contact information and any linked materials accordingly.

If you have a course approved under the new General Education categories, please register to attend one of the general education assessment workshops below. The workshops are designed as collaborative "assignment charettes", a peer‑review workshop focused on exchanging feedback and refining course assignments to enhance clarity, alignment, and student learning. On your day, select the time that works best for you.

Students need to ensure digital materials are accessible whenever content is created that will be shared with peers. Please feel free to share the digitally accessible templates below, which are designed to help students create accessible Word documents and PowerPoint presentations.

All textbook and course technology need requests for Summer 2026 are due by March 23. Fall 2026 requests are due by April 6. Completing submissions on time ensures materials are available for students and supports a smooth start to the term.

Academic Progress Reports play a vital role in identifying students who may benefit from additional support and ensuring timely communication about academic performance. Review the Academic Progress Reports: Instructor Guidance resource for additional information on submitting reports. 

Join Sarthak Singh and Lin Deng as they demonstrate how to design AI-supported lessons that teach students to ask meaningful questions and connect authentically with each other.

For hands on time working towards digital accessibility in Canvas and in course materials, register for one of the in-person trainings or explore the self-paced Digital Accessibility Training Modules.

The UWM Women Leaders Conference, hosted by the School of Continuing Education, features internationally renowned speakers, expert-led breakout sessions, and opportunities for personal and professional growth. In-person registration is full, but interested participants may still register to join live online for March 6, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. 

Conflict Transformation workshops provide space for UWM employees to reflect, explore and dialogue about ways you experience and respond to conflict.
