School is officially back in session!
Here at the VRC, we’re here to support you and help you navigate the new term with ease. We know the start of the school year can feel overwhelming, so don’t be afraid to stop by! Whether you’re looking to grab a cup of coffee, get your questions answered, connect with resources, or simply take a breather in between classes, our doors are always open.

The VRC is your place to recharge, find community, and make the most of your time here. Let’s kick off this year strong together!

We’re proud to honor and celebrate the rich history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. From September 15 to October 15, join us in recognizing the stories, voices, and legacies that continue to inspire and empower. 🌎❤️

Join us at the VRC Fall Open House and Veteran-Student Welcome Breakfast on Wednesday, October 1, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m! Come grab some free breakfast, meet the VRC team, and connect with fellow veteran and military affiliated students. Whether you’re new or returning, this is the perfect way to find resources, ask questions, and join with the community!☕ ☀️

Join the VRC teamed with SHAC this October for some restorative yoga! This weekly relaxation event will take place outside of the VRC's Mind Spa Wednesdays from 5-6 pm starting October 8th🧘‍♂️

First meeting: October 3rd, 2025 12pm-1pm

Want to get involved with the Veteran community at PSU? Become a VRC Advisory Board Member! The board meets to help advise, recommend actions, and vote on matters related to the VRC and those we serve. All PSU community members are welcome! The first meeting for the Fall term will be October 3rd from 12pm-1pm in person and via Zoom! Apply for a position now!

Wednesdays from 9:30 to 11, the VRC hosts a weekly Coffee Talk with free coffee and donuts! Come connect, swap tips, and recharge. All are welcome to stop by, even if it’s just for a quick cup. October 8th M2VA will be present to engage with students and answer questions!

October 7th from 12:40pm-1:30pm and October 21st from 5pm-6pm

Curious about how the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs can better support you? Join us for listening sessions with an ODVA Veterans Advisory Committee member! They represent both the services ODVA offers to veterans and the needs of veterans across our communities.

These sessions are all about hearing from you, student veterans who are navigating school, transition, and post-military employment. While many of Oregon’s veterans are strong advocates for healthcare and transportation, ODVA also wants to elevate the voices of younger veterans and those still adjusting to life after service.

Come share your experiences, ideas, and suggestions on how ODVA can better support you. Your voice matters!

 The University Career Center is bringing together career fairs, networking opportunities, skill-building workshops, and more all in one focused week.

Career Week is designed to help you:

-Meet employers who are eager to connect with PSU students.

-Practice talking about your skills and experiences.

-Gain tools like resume feedback and professional headshots to help you stand out.

-See how your coursework connects to real-world opportunities.

What’s happening this fall:

-All Majors + Engineering/Tech Career Fair

-Workshops presented by the University Career Center & Community Partners

-Career Convos Networking Series (this term’s focus: humanities and social sciences)

-Resume Reviews with recruiters + free professional headshots

-Industry Days

As of September 24th, 2025, the VRC will return to its regularly scheduled hours. Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm our doors will be open with free coffee waiting for you. Stop by and let us wish you a happy fall!🍂

The Veterans Certification Office is urgently seeking student workers for the 2025-26 school year! Applicants must be PSU students studying full time or 3/4 time using a VA education benefit.
