IN! is Seeking Volunteers to Join the Summer Social Planning Committee 

Are looking for a way to be more involved in creating inclusive college pathways for individuals with intellectuals disabilities?
IN! invites you to join the event committee for the 4th Annual Summer Social, scheduled for Thursday, July 26, 2018, at the Wellshire Event Center.  

The Summer Social is not your typical suit and tie event.  It is an evening of family fun, with lawn games, great food and drinks and a whole lot of dancing!

Two New Members Join IN!’s Board of Directors


IN! is pleased to announce the election of two new board members at its annual meeting: Stephanie Cavallaro and Bob Pielsticker.

The Board provides leadership for carrying out IN!'s mission to create inclusive college opportunities in Colorado for students with intellectual disabilities to foster academic growth, social development and career advancement.  Mary Holm, Senior Vice President of Commercial Bank at CO Biz, will serve as Chair of the 2018 Board of Directors, Beth Leon will serve as Founding Board Chair, Steve Phua, CEO / President of Colorado Wonderland Homes, will serve as Vice-Chair, Diane Woodward-Jordan, Founder and President of DWJ Consulting, LLC., will serve as Secretary, and Bob Pielsticker, Vice President of National Valuation Consultant, Inc., will serve as Treasurer.

Stephanie Cavallaro

Stephanie Cavallaro

Stephanie Cavallaro’s professional life has been dedicated to the education sector. She describes herself as a school leader who inspires and supports educational excellence, while guaranteeing high-quality experiences for all students. Stephanie is the current principal at Stony Creek Elementary School in the Jefferson County Public School District and the former Assistant Principal at Columbine High School. She also held the positions of Master Teacher at Stevens K-4 and instructional coach at Little Elementary. Previously, Stephanie worked for the Brighton School District as a student achievement coach and was an Alternative Licensure Program Instructor at Metropolitan State College of Denver. In 2013, Stephanie received her Principal Licensure and holds a M.A. in Education and a B.A. in Speech Communication. Stephanie’s past and present professional experiences in education will translate well as she joins the IN! Board of Directors. 
Bob Pielsticker

Bob Pielsticker

Bob Pielsticker has been involved as a commercial appraiser for the past twenty years. He is a Senior Associate with National Valuation Consultants in their Senior Housing Division where he researches, analyzes, and appraises commercial properties throughout Colorado and the United States. He focuses on senior housing including skilled nursing, and assisted and independent living. Before assuming his current role with NVC, Bob analyzed commercial property for Bonnie Roerig & Associates. Bob holds a Bachelor of Science from Ohio State University. He and his wife, Gigi, have a daughter, Sara, who currently attends Syracuse University College of Law and is pursuing Disability Law and Policy.  Sara served her gap year as the Project Manager Intern for IN! before heading off to Syracuse.  

Bob finds a strong connection to IN! as his nephew is a student in the UNC GOAL program, and he has long-recognized his daughter’s gift for engaging with children and adults with intellectual disabilities. He hopes to support the career goals of both his nephew and daughter by joining the IN! Board of Directors. 

Elevate at Arapahoe Community College is Accepting Applications for the 2018/2019 School Year.

Applications must be submitted to Student Access Services no later than 5:00 p.m. on March 1, 2018.  Completed application materials can be submitted to tosas@arapahoe.edu or hand delivered to Student Access Services at M2720.  

Once materials are received, the Elevate at ACC Screening Committee we will begin contacting eligible applicants to schedule student interviews at the beginning of April.
