PURPOSE STATEMENT
The purpose of the Rutherford Works Construction Council is to implement a program to develop a workforce within the trades of the construction industry in Rutherford County and greater Middle Tennessee region to support the anticipated high growth over the next 10 years within the construction industry.

GOALS
• Develop Career Fair Opportunities
• Implement Work Based Learning
• Communicate Wages and Earnings Potential to Students and Parents

Skilled Trades Week Field Trips

Students from Oakland Middle School and Oakland High School will tour two different construction sites this week in celebration of National Skilled Trades Week.  

Students will tour construction of the new judicial building in downtown Murfreesboro and residential construction at Puckett Station, an Ole South Properties development.

Recently, Congress returned from its summer recess. The House and Senate have yet to pass the Perkins reauthorization and we need your help! The next few weeks are crucial to getting Perkins reauthorized. Contact your member of Congress through our online congressional directory.
