Louisville Medicine upcoming themes:
January – due 12/1 – The Power of the Decision – Small decisions can have a big impact. Was it choosing your specialty? Choosing employed vs. private? Did you start your own practice? What about bedside medical decisions? How do you make these decisions and what impact have they had, or will they have in the future?
February – due 1/1 – Sharing Gratitude – In the season of love, we want to share gratitude with our colleagues and mentors. Who is leading the way in medicine in our area? Give a shout-out to someone who is making big moves in your practice or your field today.
March – due 2/1 – Intentional Empowerment – What have you done to show intentional efforts toward diversity, equity, and inclusion? What steps have you taken to empower someone else in your work or your home? How can others get involved with intentionally empowering those in our community?
Please reach out to Kathryn Vance at kathryn.vance@glms.org if you’d like to share your thoughts in an upcoming issue.
From HAZMAT technician, to case management teams, to babies and beyond – our physicians are doing it all! While no two days are ever the same in medicine, this month we’re highlighting a day in the life of our physicians. Check out this month’s Louisville Medicine to see a glimpse into what they do in the clinic and behind the scenes.
Dr. Who
After moving to the U.S. from India nearly 30 years ago, Dr. Rejith Paily has made a commitment to serving others. In addition to being an internal medicine physician with UofL Health, he also volunteers throughout the community and helps organize an annual fundraiser for Crusade for Children. Read more about his story in this month’s Dr. Who.
