| Family Hike, Israeli Style
Federation’s Community Shlichim (Israeli emissaries), Federation's Next Gen, and PJ Library
Join us at Little Bennet Regional Park for a self-guided family hike with an Israeli twist! The hike is approximately two miles with stops at “education stations” led by our community shlichim. After hiking, join other local families for a festive picnic! (Snacks and drinks provided; you are welcome to bring lunch.)

National Pride Shabbat Sixth & I
In solidarity with Capital Pride 2022, Rabbi Aaron Potek and musicians Aaron Shneyer and Danny Villanueva will lead an inclusive service celebrating the diversity of DC Jewish life. Hear a sermon from Rabbi Elianna Yolkut, the Rabbi in Residence of Lifelong Learning at Adas Israel Congregation, and enjoy a performance from the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington Seasons of Love Ensemble.

Hunger Action at Home: Pride Edition
Help the EDJCC make sweet treats for the staff and clients at Casa Ruby. Pick your favorite cookie, bar, or sweet treat recipe to prepare at home. Wrap them individually and drop them off at the EDCJCC on Thursday, June 16th between 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM. The treats will be delivered to Casa Ruby along with a full meal prepared at the JCC by volunteers.

HIAS Letter Writing Program
Join HIAS on Monday, June 13th between 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM to write letters of compassion and solidarity to people in immigration detention and participate in a short learning session that reflects on issues facing refugees and asylum seekers. All letters will be sent and received by HIAS. Participants must be 18 or older.
