Dear Traveler,
Darkness falls on Transylvania County. It is time to prepare for my nightly ride. I have gathered my cape, filled my water bottle and sent out an advance party of my (ghostly) white squirrel minions to scout the landscape for a potential bite. I’m thinking barbecue but maybe burgers. For though it may be the very witching hour, the next Taco Tuesday is just around the corner and I have miles of single-track to cover before I crawl into my coffin to sleep.
Autumn is upon us. It is the best season: one of ghosts, ghouls, tricks, treats, devious plots, and very lovely fall leaf color. There are so many fun things do up here in Transylvania County, you’ll feel young again, no matter whether you are a child, a child at heart, or a child of darkness. I look forward to celebrating together. Perhaps on a lonely night, when the moon is out, we might meet for a drink, just the two of us. IPA? Local Lager? Maybe O Negative? Your call.
Until then.
Immortally yours,
Count Adventurist

Here Be Monsters
Halloweenfest 2019
Downtown Brevard
Saturday, October 26
10am – 5pm
| |
It’s not a surprise that a place with “Transylvania” in the title would do Halloween right, with tricks, treats, costumes, parades, food, and live music. But there’s also a Flight of the Vampire 5K (capes optional) to get the blood flowing, pumpkin carving, pet costume contests, crafts and so much more. It’s enough to give the mope-iest ghoul a jack-o-lantern grin and probably a little candy to boot.
