Rowan volunteered full days of client calling to help ensure we were able to reach as many Home Delivery participants as possible. Getting to listen to them make calls in the office made me so proud to know our clients were receiving excellent service and attention. Grateful to have someone so kind who helps ensure everyone receives the foods they want and gets some personal attention to help battle the isolation that homebound adults often experience. Thank you Rowan!

Bill’s been a tremendous volunteer since he began in 2017. He created a system to stock our pantry shelves helping increase our ability to store more items. He takes extra time to prep everything before a shift to help make things run smoothly for all volunteers. Bill is a founding member of the Volunteer Leadership Group which gives program development input across our organization. We have relied on Bill for many things over the 1,500+ hours he's devoted to Beyond Hunger (even building and fixing things from time to time!) We can’t thank Bill enough for all he has done for our community.

We need help to make our Oak Park Public Library "Idea Box" exhibit a success. We'll be installing a Beyond Hunger - H.A.M. exhibit Sept. 26 that will run through Oct. 7th. It'll be an immersive opportunity for our community to learn more about our services and programs—how they can get help or how they can contribute. Want to make materials or help with installation on Monday the 26th? Email Sarah Corbin sarah@gobeyondhunger.org.

It's been a long road but contruction on Kenilworth is wrapping up! There have been a lot of bumps (literally) and changes. We are grateful for all of the extra hours and extra smiles you have contributed to help families manage the changes and reduce their anxiety about receiving food at Beyond Hunger.

Did you know Beyond Hunger benefits from a number of Village of Oak Park grants. Our programs are supported by the Village's distribution of Community Development Block Grant funds and funds from the American Rescue Plan Act. Learn more about The Community Development Citizens Adviosory Committee and what a Community Development Block Grant is.
