MIT at COP30: Special Edition |
The UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP) is the largest global platform for discussions and negotiations on climate change. This year’s meeting will take place in Brazil November 10-21, 2025, at Belém, Pará—and MIT will be there, sharing new research, meeting new collaborators, and exploring new climate solutions at the intersection of technology, design, and policy.
MIT is taking a more active role at COP30, highlighting our work with the UNFCCC Technology Executive Committee and the Global Climate Policy Project. Following are details about where you can find us at COP30. This webpage will also be regularly updated with MIT events and speaking engagements through November 22.

MIT is a global leader in technology development, but what does it take to implement new technologies in the real world? Led by the CPC's Drew Story, we have taken a more active role in contributing to this type of policy formation. In partnership with GlobalABC and moderated by the CPC's Bethany Patten, the event will feature the UNFCCC TEC policy brief, which delineates policies and actions needed to deploy climate technologies in buildings, including case studies of successful deployment. The release comes alongside the Solar Impulse Foundation’s catalogue of ready-to-go climate technologies.
