Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe |

Written by Brandon Bauer
The CAC Fall Drama Production is coming to Mustang Mountain to perform The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe starting Friday, Dec. 2. Our students have worked alongside Mrs. Morton for countless hours to bring an amazing production to our school’s community. The cast includes students of all ages and not just high school students.
Mrs Morton said she could not be more thrilled about the play this year.
“We are so excited to finally have an audience for the play," she said. "These students have worked so hard and are ready to share this beautiful story with their friends and family.”
Lucy Tucker, daughter of English teacher Mrs. Tucker, is playing a unique role as she plays the character “Lucy” in The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.
“I am looking forward to being able to perform and make good relationships with the older kids," Lucy said. "I wanted to be Lucy in the story because it is my name, and I grew up reading 'The Chronicles of Narnia.'"
We encourage all students to go out and watch our fellow students perform this amazing production as they have spent so much time and effort into making it a performance to remember. You can see it Friday, at 7 p.m., Saturday at 7 p.m. or Sunday at 2 p.m.

This week on Speak Up, Ella Blakely, who signed with Ouachita Baptist Nov. 28, shared her experience on her commitment and why she chose to attend to OBU.

Ella has been playing softball since she was five years old and has stuck with it ever since due to the community as well as friendships that she built. “I really liked the social and Christian aspect of [OBU] due to the fact that they don't force Christianity upon you — they give you a choice. My goals going into my freshman year of College are to get used to the independent atmosphere and get used to being an adult.”
Ella’s advice to people who would want to play a sport in college is to put forth a lot of hard work and communication with coaches. Being in touch with coaches and having conversations with them helped her get to where she is now.

It's Time To ⚠️ BeReal ⚠️ |
This week's Bereal is with the 6th grade class during our Winter Sports Pep Rally. Some were lit, some were litter, and some were literal.

| Verisimilitude
Definition: The appearance of being true or real.
Example: From its roots, verisimilitude means basically "similarity to the truth". Most fiction writers and filmmakers aim at some kind of verisimilitude to give their stories an air of reality.
