Dear Friend,
It’s only a couple of weeks until we are on retreat together. We are so looking forward to our time in community and praying for God’s blessings in all our lives. The retreat begins June 10 with check-in beginning at 4 pm at the Q Center. Please see the attached directions document for your travel.
Ride Share
If you would like to sign up for a shared ride through the Q Center and their partnership with A-1 service, you can do so by clicking here. When you indicate you are willing to share a ride with someone coming to the Q Center, then the cost of the ride is divided by the number of people in the car. From their site: "Shared Service - Maximum will be around $75. If others are available to share, total vehicle cost is split over all passengers. A-1 Dispatch will group shared rides based on actual arrival time or pickup time." Please reply to this message to contact me if you have any questions.
Check-In
Check-in begins at 4pm at the Q Center. After you are checked into your room, we will meet for dinner at 5:30pm in our teaching space, the St. Charles Amphitheater, to greet each other and go to dinner together.
Extended Stay
If you would like to book an additional night on the either end of the retreat, you can reply to this email by Monday, June 3, and we will inform the Q Center. You will need to pay for the extra night when you arrive.
Retreat End
The retreat will end at 1:00pm on Wednesday. Please plan to stay until the very end since our Leaving Service will contain our time of commitment to each other and to the journey each of us is taking in community. It’s important for every person to be there.
Packing Reminders
- Email your written reflections to tc16papers@transformingcenter.org. For formatting guidelines, please refer to the During the Quarter document in your folder or click here to review.
- Bring your Bible and journal
- Bring your copy of Invitation to Solitude and Silence (Ruth's book), if you have one; they will also be available at the resource table
- Pack casual, comfortable clothing with layers for adjusting to the varying temperatures
Payment
If you have not already done so, please make sure to send in your monthly payment by check. If you are on an auto-payment plan, you do not need to do anything.
Certificate in Spiritual Formation
If you have any further questions about what is required in order to receive the Certificate and CEU Information, you will find it on our website here.
Absences
If you missed the first retreat in February, please refer to the document Helpful Information found in your folder, in order to catch up with all that is needed to fulfill the requirements to earn a certificate. This information and more is also on the TC16 community page on our website. Use the password, sacredrhythms16, to gain access.
Remember, if you have to be absent for any retreat, email tc16@transformingcenter.org to let us know so we can be aware of the things going on for you and can hold you in prayer.
