MEA!

Good luck to all of you educators who will be educated this week through the Minnesota Educator Academy. There are about 20 live webinars to participate in on October 15th. Learn more about sessions here.

Rejuvenate...

Along with MEA comes some much needed time off. I hope administrators, educators, para educators can take some time for themselves. Here are some things you can do in the Metro area. For those of you staying closer to home, try some of the activities in this link.

Manufacturing Month Continues
I will still be working this week as we do not get this time off. Manufacturing month is continuing through the month on FutureForward™. Educators will need to register their students in the event to be able to participate. Instructions can be found by clicking here.
Should you have any questions about the process, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at: jschwickerath@ssc.coop.

School Visits

I have now been to all schools to check in. Given the volatility of Covid-19, I may not be in your school every week, unless you specifically request I be there. I am quite responsive on email and phone.

Poverty Training

Southern Minnesota Perkins consortia is offering a two-part training series focused on supporting students experiencing poverty.

The first session is October 22nd and the second one is on November 19th.  Both will be virtual sessions and will run from 1pm to 3pm

Below is the log-in information for the October 22nd training. There is no registration fee and you are each encouraged to attend. The presenter will be Chad Dull of Minnesota State College Southeast. Please also share this link with colleagues and friends who might be interested in this topic.
