BOYS XC AT RICHARD SPRING INVITE SATURDAY
The Comets will split the squad next weekend. The top 20ish athletes will head to Peoria, IL for the Richard Spring Invitational, while the rest will compete at the Princeton Invitational.

GIRLS XC AT RICHARD SPRING INVITE SATURDAY
Next up, Mason Girls XC will take their varsity to Peoria for a huge meet with some of the nation's top teams at the Richard Spring Invite.

MASON FB AT PRINCETON TONIGHT!
Mason (1-3, 1-2) will visit Princeton (3-1, 3-0) this Friday. The Vikings escaped with a 17-16 win at East last week.

BOYS GOLF FALLS TO MOELLER
On Thursday, September 19, the Comets lost their annual scrimmage match against Moeller 150-159 on the West Nine at Glenview.
Moeller's Landon Harris was the match medalist with a 1-under-par round 35. Senior Ben Morneau posted Mason's best score of 39, while junior Curtis Crimmins and seniors Blake Ernst and Blake Lockhart all recorded 40's to complete the team total score of 159.
The Comet's next event is this Saturday's six-team Medina Invitational at Westfield South Country Club in Medina, Ohio, just outside Cleveland.

GIRLS GOLF THIRD AT BEAVER INVITE
The Lady Comets participated in the Beavercreek Invitational at Beavercreek Golf Club on Thursday and scored their best finish of the season ending the day in 3rd place. They were led by Junior Ava Dattilo's 83.
The Comet's hope to carry that momentum into the Sectional Tournament at Walden Ponds on Tuesday 9/24 where the top 4 teams will qualify for the District Tournament.
QUALIFIERS TO THE DISTRICT TOURNAMENT FROM THE GIRL'S SECTIONALS WILL BE THE FOUR TOP TEAMS AND INDIVIDUAL LOW SCORERS NOT ON A QUALIFYING TEAM.

BOYS SOCCER TOPS WEST!
On Thursday, Mason Boys Soccer took another big step towards a GMC title, knocking off previously unbeaten Lakota West 2-1. With the win, the Comets improved their unblemished GMC record to 5-0 and 6-0-3 overall. Alex Geren and Shunya Kashiwakura scored Mason's goals.
Next up, Mason will host St. Xavier on Saturday, 9/21.

GIRLS SOCCER BLANKS THE FIREBIRDS!
Mason Girls Soccer defeated West on the road last night by a score of 3-0. Bella Anderson, Allyson Canham, and Maelyn Kowalski had goals for the Comets. Anneliese Knight produced the shutout in goal with 7 saves.
Mason (6-3-2, 3-1-1) will host East on Tuesday, 9/24.

GIRLS' TENNIS ADVANCE IN THE OTCA!
Mason Girls Tennis continued their winning ways on Wednesday, defeating St. Ursula 4-1 in an OTCA match. See scores below:
Singles: Poon (S) def. Chaudhuri 6-4, 6-1; Wagner (M) def. Wilson 6-1, 6-2; Moreno (M) def. Rueve 6-1, 6-0. Doubles: Sa.Reddy-Cassidy (M) def. Crowther-Schwanekamp 6-1, 6-1; Gotike-Singidi (M) def. Frondorf-Makris 6-0, 6-2.
The Comets advance to the OTCA SW District Final against the winner of Sycamore vs. Centerville. The date is TBD and will be played at Mason.
Next up, Mason (15-0, 8-0) competes in the annual GCTCA Coaches Classic this weekend.

GIRLS VB SWEEPS LAKOTA WEST!
The Comet Girls Volleyball team stayed unbeaten in the GMC on Thursday night with a 25-14, 25-14, 25-17 win versus Lakota West.
Next up, Mason (11-4, 5-0) will visit Lakota East on Tuesday, 9/24.
