Make a difference this summer as a counselor at NYU Shanghai’s Summer Camp for Migrant Youth. You’ll learn about adolescent social-emotional development, guide, and mentor youth, and facilitate engaging activities. It’s a chance to learn, grow, and be part of something truly meaningful. A stipend and free housing are provided.

Anti-systematic Aesthetics in Chinoiserie and Turquerie

Professor Wen Jin examines how Chinoiserie and Turquerie reflect tensions between modernity and anti-systemic aesthetics, revealing how “shapeshifting” identities challenged boundaries and foreshadowed today’s pluralism through art, literature, and history.

Vitalisms is an exhibition-as-experiment initiating a long-term research and education project on the "historicity" and "value" of contemporary painting in China. By gathering seven artists and focusing on figurative paintings made recently, Vitalisms asks: How are they situated in history? Could we anticipate their historicization as documents of collective memory in the future?
