Mr. Obergfell's Life Celebration


It is with great sadness that we must share the passing of beloved former Cathedral educator, James Obergfell, Hon. '92.

Visitation will be Monday, July 19, 2021, 4 to 8 p.m. in the Robert V. Welch Activity Center at Cathedral High School, 5225 E. 56th Street. Additional visitation will be Tuesday, July 20, 2021, 9 to 10 a.m.,in SS Peter & Paul Cathedral, 1347 N. Meridian St.
The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. with burial following is St. Joseph Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Philip Neri Catholic School, Cathedral High School or to the Riley Children’s Foundation.

Cathedral High School, Matt Cohoat '78, Tom McNulty '78 & Ed Sahm '79 would like to invite you to join us on Saturday, July 24 from 4-7pm at Sahm's Ale House (Nora) as we celebrate two great educators, Melinda Bundy and Nick Morgan.
Both known for their wit, dedication and unmatched skills as educators we will also be kicking off the Melinda Bundy, Hon. '94 and Nick Morgan Professional Development Fund to provide enhanced opportunities for our educators to be the absolute best they can be in their field and for our students.

There is still room for your foursome at this year's Father Kelly Tradition Golf Outing.  Proceeds of this 18-hole Florida Scramble support the Father Kelly Tuition Grant at Cathedral High School, which supports the school’s vision and mission. The Father Kelly Tradition is a special one day event that includes 18 holes of golf, cart, range, food, libations, commemorative gifts, and fun.

Class of 2026 Application Deadlines

Priority Admission Deadline - Friday, October 15

Regular Admission Deadline - Wednesday, December 15
