A team of Georgia Tech cybersecurity researchers led by Ph.D. student David Oygenblik uncovered a stealthy AI vulnerability dubbed VillainNet, showing how attackers could hijack self-driving vehicles by exploiting blind spots in AI super-networks. The work highlights the need for next-generation defenses as autonomous systems become more complex.

Your participation is vital to assessing our current programs and services, as well as to inform future planning. When you have projects to complete, tests to prepare for, classes to attend, and social activities to take advantage of, completing an Institute survey may be the last thing you want to do - and we understand that. We ask for your assistance to ensure that Georgia Tech can best respond to the needs of students today and tomorrow. The Cultivate Well-Being Roadmap was informed in large part by student data. Your opinions can make a difference! The survey deadline is Feb. 15.

The CORE Robotics Lab at Georgia Tech is seeking three graduate students (MS or PhD) in Psychology, Cognitive Science, HCI, or related fields to support a short-term research project analyzing human planning strategies and potential cognitive biases. The work involves reviewing brief, text-based strategy statements and labeling possible planning biases. No prior experience is required, though familiarity with qualitative analysis is a plus. The commitment totals up to 5 hours across multiple short sessions and pays $20/hour. Additional paid opportunities may be available based on project needs.

Taxes 101 for Graduate Students

Taxes 101 for Graduate Students is an annual workshop held for all graduate students who received income from fellowships, scholarships, GRA, or GTA positions during the previous tax year. Representatives from Global Human Resources, the Bursar's Office, the Grad Student Lounge, and the Office of Graduate Education team up to help walk through the dos and don’ts of filing taxes as a graduate student.This year's workshop takes place in person and virtually. The in-person session will be held in the John Lewis Student Center's Ehmer Theater on February 10, 2026, from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. The event is free to attend, but registration is highly encouraged. The recorded session will be made available online after the event ends.
