Building Up Associations

Our focus this week has been on encouraging one another within our local associations. Just as gathering as a local body of believers is important for fellowship, encouragement, and edification, so too is the gathering of our churches and their leaders together for the same purposes.

Monday, Pastor Duane Littlefield joined the Better Together Podcast to describe how one association in Florida partnered with some of its member churches in need to bring new life to their ministry. Executive Secretary Eddie Moody challenges us with ways we can lift each other up in the video below:

News from Departments

Welch College Offering

The 2022 Welch College Offering is Sunday, February 27. Plan to receive a special offering at your church that will benefit students and the advancement of Christian higher education. Find more ways to give to the college at https://welch.edu/give/.

David Williford recently joined the Better Together Podcast to talk about the history of the offering (begun by Paul Ketteman) and how its funds go directly toward decreasing tuition for students.

WNAC Flourish Event

WNAC will hold its next Flourish event Saturday, March 26, at Central FWB Church in Huntington, WV. The theme for the event is "Grace in the Chaos." Sessions for the event include:

"Grace in the Busyness of Life" - Linda Hutchinson (WV)
"Grace in the Chaos of Joseph's Life" - Judy DeLong (KY)
"Grace for the Loss of a Dream" - Alicia Crowe (OH)
"The Chaos of Grief" - Derena Coleman (KY)

Pastor's Boot Camp

North American Ministries will hold its next pastor's boot camp Monday-Tuesday, May 2-3, at the National Offices in Antioch, TN. The training is free, but you MUST register by calling 615-760-6138 or emailing bethany@nafwb.org. Space is limited to only 15 participants, so register early. 

Training sessions will deal with important topics such as structuring for growth, dealing with adversity, how to handle church bullies, and several important things you probably didn't learn in college!

IM Celebrates Record Year

IM recently wrapped up their 2021 financials, celebrating back-to-back years finishing in the black. CFO Rob Conley reports that 2021 was a record year for income, with $8.7 million given to missions:
