Unique alumni-crafted model of Parker Solar Probe finds CSPAR home »

A unique model of NASA’s Parker Solar Probe (PSP) is now on permanent display at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) Center for Space Plasma and Aeronomic Research (CSPAR) in the National Space Science and Technology Center (NSSTC) in Cramer Research Hall.
About the size of two stacked shoeboxes, the model was custom crafted by Blake Parker, a 2013 mechanical and aerospace engineering graduate.

British journal names philosophy chair’s paper best of 2019 »

The chair of the Department of Philosophy at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) has won an award for the best paper of 2019 from a British journal.
Dr. Nicholaos (Nick) Jones won the Rogers Prize from the British Journal for the History of Philosophy for his paper, “The Architecture of Fazang’s Six Characteristics.”
"I feel a bit of shock, to be honest,” says Dr. Jones, who received notice of the £1,000 (approximately $1,290) prize in an email from the journal’s deputy editor.

Laterrica Shelton has been selected Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Ms. Shelton has been serving in the role on an interim basis since April 2018. Her appointment is effective February 12, 2020, pending approval by the Board of Trustees. Prior to her interim appointment, she was the university’s Director of Compliance and Title IX Coordinator joining UAH in April 2017.
