Happy Mother's Day!
May is finally upon us and quite possibly the best month of the year! Spring is in full bloom, the skies are "Carolina blue", the grass is soft and lush...and Mother's Day is here! This Mother's Day, take a step back and just focus on YOU! Whether it's taking a hot bath or handing the kids over to Dad so you can take a snooze (heaven!). Either way, relish in your title of "mommy". We hope you join us for a special Mother's Day Stroller Strides class followed by treats at La Vita Dolce on Saturday, May 7th! You are special, and deserve to be celebrated! Details below!
May is also Mental Health Awareness Month. Postpartum Depression is a perinatal mood disorder affecting at least 1 in 8 women (and those are just the reported cases). I hope you'll take a moment to read our own Dawn Huntzinger's story in her brave blog post. Stay tuned for details about a local "Climb Out of the Darkness" hike co-sponsored by FIT4MOM and Hike It Baby Carrboro in June benefiting Postpartum Progress.

Fit4Baby Prenatal Classes for Expectant Moms Now Offered in Carrboro!
Fit4Baby is a prenatal fitness program that teaches women how to exercise safely and effectively throughout their pregnancy. The hour long Fit4Baby class is interval based, combining elements of strength training, cardiovascular exercises and stretching and balancing exercises. We train and certify our Fit4Baby instructors so they are fully equipped to lead a pregnant woman in exercises that are safe and appropriate for her changing body. The class is for all stages of pregnancy and limited to 15 participants.

Sunday Run Club is Back!
Do you love to run and are searching for a fun running group that just feels right? Do you dream of finishing a 5k but don't know where to start? Join FIT4MOM Run Coach Jessica Walden-Gray as she leads Run Club at 8:00am on Sundays at Wilson Park in Carrboro. Whether you are running for the first time or just finished a marathon, you can find your running tribe. Drop-in runs are $3 or buy an $25 pass for unlimited runs 5/1-7/17.

Candlelight Yoga Summer Series at The Parlour Chapel
Seasonally, we will host candlelight yoga series. Each series is limited to 30 participants. Drop-in spots are an option only if there is space available. $50 per series, or $85 for both using coupon SUMMERYOGA.

FIT4MOM of the Month: Meet Tanya Koziara!
Tanya joined Body Back in November 2015 and has completed three 8-week sessions and one 4-week mini-session. Since starting Body Back nearly six months ago, this busy Digital Marketing Manager for XPO Logistics mom-of-three has never missed a workout! We are so impressed with her dedication! Her hard work has paid off: she's lost 16.5" and 13.6 pounds all while gaining impressive strength and endurance! Congratulations, Tanya! You are AMAZING!!
