Psalm 96:6-8
Splendor and majesty are before him;
    strength and glory are in his sanctuary.

 Ascribe to the Lord, all you families of nations,
    ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
    bring an offering and come into his courts.

New International Version (NIV)
                If you really know and love someone, you never tire of talking to them and about them.  So what if you are alone with someone and you have nothing to say?  What does that say about the relationship?  One pastor said, "If we are afraid to be alone with God because we have nothing to say, it may be because there is not much in the way of relationship there."

                David had so much to say to and about God because he knew him.  He never tired of praising him and never ran out of words to do it!  "Splendor and majesty; strength and glory."  When we worship we bring our words and our hearts into the presence of the God who loves us, always loves us.  God loves the nations and he wants the nations to know him.

                Do we love God?  In what way?  How would God know that we love him?  How would our friends know our love for the Lord?  Are we spending time with him alone?  What new thing have we learned about God today?  In the last week?  In the last year?  Relationships can grow stale if we do not intentionally invest in intimacy.  Stop for a moment and let God tell you who he is and how much he loves you.  Then it is your turn.  Ready.  Go!
 Pray with me:
God of glory and grace, we love you best because you loved us first and sent your perfect Son as an atonement for our sins.  Teach us today about who you are.  Reveal to us your character.  Forgive us for not spending more time getting to know you.  We turn from our spiritual complacency and we turn to you.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
I want to invite you to join me in memorizing 52 passages this year from the 2017 set of Fighter Verses.  You can find the Fighter Verses App at the App Store on your phones or via this link  http://fighterverses.com/the-verses/fighter-verses/As we study the Bible this year, let's look at each text and learn what it says about God.
Joyfully,
