Please reach out to Kathryn Vance at kathryn.vance@glms.org if you’d like to share your thoughts in an upcoming issue.
Equality is treating everyone the same, but equity ensures fairness by addressing differences in needs and circumstances. In this month’s Louisville Medicine, our physicians looked at health equity in our community – who is making positive changes and what still needs to be done. Read more here.
Dr. Jennifer Brey likes a challenge – from balancing pre-med courses with D1 swimming, to being a woman in orthopedics, to English Channel swims and Ironmans – she doesn’t back down. Read more about Dr. Brey’s journey to where she is today as a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and mom of three in this month’s Dr. Who.
