Creighton started construction on a new residence hall located along 21st Street between Cuming and Burt Streets. It’s a 151,000-square-foot building that will house 400 second-year students. When it opens in 2026, the residence hall will upgrade student housing options, enhance a sense of community on campus and strengthen the University’s commitment to sustainability.

The estate of James Menehan, JD'63, has given Creighton $9.7 million to support the law school’s students, faculty and programs. It’s the largest gift in the School of Law’s 120-year history. Menehan, who passed away at 85 last year, was a longtime Creighton donor, starting in 1988 with a $175 gift and making annual gifts to the University nearly every year since.  Read more about this historic gift.
