Dear Traveler:

It’s getting warmish up here. August is in sight. And if you’ve been waiting all season for the typically brisk waters of Sliding Rock to moderate before you take the plunge, this is pretty much as warm as they’re going to get.

Even if getting in the water is not on your agenda, you’ll be happily surprised by the number of things you can get into up in Transylvania County this August. And that doesn’t even include the once-in-a-life-time total eclipse of the sun (August 21, more information here).  Whether your goal is keeping cool or really turning up the heat on your activities, we have just the right adventure for you. Remember: there’s still plenty of time to make this your best summer ever, and Transylvania County is the place to do it.

See you in September,

 The Adventurist
