Joy to the World
Baker Family
From the Camp Director,
December is here and Christmas is right around the corner. We are very sorry we have had to cancel our Christmas at the Rock for this year. We were so looking forward to a time to celebrate with our Hanging Rock Family the Birth of Christ. This year has see some challenges for sure. My prayer is that you will make time to celebrate the Birth of Christ all month with your family at home and also with your church family.
One of things I so much enjoy about Christmas is when our family would gather early in the morning, we have one of our children that likes to get everyone up at 4am to do Christmas not mentioning any names (Kirsten). We would gather our family around the Christmas tree where, in sight of the gifts we were receiving from one another, we would read the Christmas story together. It was a gentle reminder that the reason we give gifts is not because the Magi brought gifts to the Christ-child. Rather, our gifts of love for one another were a reflection of God’s greater Gift of love to us.

Nothing could ever match the gift God has given us in His Son, a reality which echoes in Paul’s words to the church at Corinth, “Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!” (2 Cor. 9:15).

Clearly, God’s willingness to send His Son to be our rescue is a gift that words cannot fully comprehend. This is the gift that we celebrate at Christmas—for Christ Himself is truly what matters most.
From the Baker Family to your Family Merry Christmas.

Hanging Rock Christian Camp

Matching Gift Challenge

Thank you so much for helping us match the $25,000 matching donation challenge. We are so grateful for your generosity. We would not have been able to do this without the help of our supporting churches and generous individuals that partner with us and our ministry.
This will help us end the year in the black in a year where we had a loss of income of over $280,000 who would have thought that we would have had a possiblity of not ending the year in the red.

#Giving Tuesday

Today is Giving Tuesday: We have a very generous pig farmer that put together a package that we will give away on Wednesday. All you have to do is make a minimum donation of $25.00 and then on Wednesday we will do a drawing to see who won this package. This package includes:
5 (1lb) packages of unseasoned ground pork
2 (1lb) packages of breakfast sausage
1 (1lb) package of bacon
2 packages of pork chops (2 chops per pack)
2 Ham Slices
2 (2-3lbs) packages of shoulder roast.
Let's have a great day of giving!!! Thank you in advance for your donation!

Summer Camp 2021

Our Board of Directors met on November 19th and after a lengthy discussion we have decided it would be best to start registration on March 15, 2021 this year instead of January 15, 2021. We feel that this gives us plenty of time to make decisions due to Covid-19.
We have updated the camp sessions on our website with prices. We will only be doing a two tier price structure next year. We also will not be able to do a payment plan because of the shortened registration period.
