Amidst midsummer's glorious weather and sunshine, the ILR office is abuzz, adding the final touches to registration preparations for our fantastic lineup of offerings. Read on to learn what's in store for you this fall!

Catalogs and Registration Coming Soon
The much-awaited registration for ILR's fall semester opens on September 5th at 9 a.m. (E.T.). The link to online registration will be sent via email at that time. Registration forms received by mail in advance will be processed on September 5th in the order received.
This fall, we present a broad array of courses designed to stimulate your curiosity and challenge your mind. Whether you're interested in the arts, history, sciences, technology, or any other subject, our fantastic instructors are ready to guide you on a journey of discovery and fun. Best of allno grades, tests, or homework! Meeting you where you are, ILR's fall classes will be offered in person, online, and hybrid.

Kickoff Party Luncheon 
Monday, September 25, noon-2 p.m.
Reunite with your ILR friends and make new ones as we kick off another year of engaging, enriching, and enlightening our community. A catered lunch will be followed by our featured speaker, Vaskar Raychoudhury, who will present his timely lecture titled From AI (Artificial Intelligence) with Love: The Bittersweet Journey of Advantages and Pitfalls.

Belarus Opposition Leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya


The Havighurst Center for Russian and Post-Soviet Studies will welcome Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, the National Leader of Belarus, to campus on Friday, September 22, to deliver the annual Havighurst Lecture. The event will take place at 4:30 p.m. in Shideler Hall 152. Her visit is co-sponsored by the Menard Family Center for Democracy. More info...

Calling all art aficionados. August is American Art Appreciation Month! And thanks to Road Scholar's brand-new lecture series, you're in for a treat. You'll dive into the lives of artists who not only ignited the American art scene but also soaked up inspiration from its vibrant movement. We're talking legends like van Gogh, O’Keeffe, and Pollock. The best part? You can join art historian Matthew Palczynski for this series and soak up all that art goodness right from the comfort of your own home! More info...

Did you miss taking the ILR Pickleball class (pictured) last spring? You're in luck if you're still looking to learn what all the hoopla is about. Pickleball for Dummies is just ahead on Wednesday, August 16, at noon (E.T.)
If, however, your sport is more of the 4 oz. "curl and sip" kind, Jack Keegan is back on Thursday, August 24, at 7 p.m. (E.T.) sharing his wine-tasting expertise.
