For the ongoing COVID testing program, is it okay to be tested anywhere, or do I have to use the NYU tests (i.e., the Binx (saliva) and NYU BioReference (nasal swab) tests available through NYU)?
For the ongoing testing to access NYU buildings, you’ve gotta use the NYU tests.
NYU’s testing program links directly to the Daily Screener, and your access to buildings — that’s not true of outside tests. Bottom line, NYU students and employees must use the
NYU tests listed here in order to gain or maintain access to NYU buildings (tests conducted at NYU Langone Health count as "outside" tests in this instance).
However, we don’t want sick people coming to campus. Students or employees who are symptomatic, in close contact with someone with COVID-19, test positive, or spent time in a restricted location are required to
notify the COVID-19 Prevention & Response Team. Binx and NYU Bioreference should not be used for people who require isolation, quarantine, or are symptomatic, unless specifically directed by the COVID-19 Prevention & Response Team.
Thanks.
