It’s a great way to kick off the season with some incredible friends in our local community and also a great opportunity to find out more about your local Boys & Girls Club of Greater Ventura. The event will honor our very own John Zaruka and his involvement over the years and help raise critical funding for the Club.

Teen Summit

What is Teen Summit?

This month, teens from our Addison, Oak View and LeFevre Club sites participated in the Los Angeles County Alliance Teen Summit. The Summit which is an all day event, focuses on strengthening minds, bodies and spirits of our youth. Workshops featured how to be proactive about personal goals and professional success, personal empowerment, professional development, life and spiritual wellness. Our teens had an incredible time!

LeFevre Club Kid Earns Tickets to Katy Perry Concert

Elena from our LeFevre Club received an unexpected surprise at the 2017 Teen Summit. She was awarded tickets to the 2017-2018 Katy Perry Tour Witness. In an effort to raise awareness for Boys & Girls Clubs across the nation, Katy Perry and BGCA have partnered with advocacy organization Global Citizen to encourage fans to get involved and support their community through engagement and volunteerism.

Founder's Induction

Congratulations to those honored this month at our Founder's Induction Ceremony.

The Founder’s Society was established to give recognition and honor to those individuals who have a history of distinguished service and have made a significant contribution to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Ventura over a sustained period of time. Our most recent induction was held October 26, 2017 and hosted at the new Kia Showroom.

Light a Child's Future

Every child deserves a future and every time someone gives a charitable gift to Boys & Girls Club of Greater Ventura a child's path burns a little brighter. It makes a difference more than you will ever know. It helps our Clubs stay open and it provides a place where our children and teens go to grow and learn. But it starts with you. No donation is too small and every gift matters. It signifies that you believe in what we do. Please join with us this holiday season and light a child's future.

Turn On All the Lights

Lights On Afterschool

Having a place to go afterschool is important and that's why every October, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Ventura participates in the Afterschool Alliance, Lights On Afterschool. The alliance launched in October 2000 is celebrated in 1,200 communities nationwide, including ours and stresses the importance of having quality and affordable afterschool programs. In an effort to raise awareness, all four of our Club sites in Ventura participated. One of the many activities included an artwork display that showcased projects completed over the course of the year. Take a look below at our Robert Addison Center.
