Iconic Indianapolis DJ T-Bone Mathley Launches T-Bone's Prime Cuts...On The Other Side Podcast
Indianapolis, IN, February 9, 2021...Longtime musician, and legendary host of Indianapolis radio show T-Bone’s Prime Cuts, T-Bone Mathley, launched his new podcast T-Bone’s Prime Cuts...On The Other Side in January 2021. The show features in-depth interviews with musicians as well as the authors who write about them and explores what it is that makes them great.
“Listeners can expect to hear from some famous people and some who should be,” Mathley describes. “I call it ‘The Talk Space Where Musicians Matter.’ “I have a tremendous curiosity about musicians and what makes them tick: the songwriters, the sidemen and women, who make an okay song great; the reason why fame lands on some and not others; and the passion that drives them all.”
January 2021 episodes include guitarist Steve Hunter and drummer Pete Thompson. Hunter, who now lives in Spain, worked with famed artists such as Peter Gabriel, Lou Reed, and Alice Cooper. UK transplant turned Texan, Pete Thompson, grew his reputation with fellow Brits, Robert Plant, Robin Trower, and Ken Hensley.
Every two weeks new episodes will drop with upcoming interviews including Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Steve Cropper, Mike Skill of The Romantics, bestselling author Mark Eglinton, Zephaniah OHora, a new name with a vintage Country sound, and Constantine Maroulis, actor/rock singer/Tony-nominated American Idol finalist.
After many years as a performing musician, T-Bone Mathley began hosting T-Bone’s Prime Cuts, a freeform radio show on WICR-FM in Indianapolis, in 2009 and worked in online promotion for some of the greatest musicians in the world including Daryl Hall & John Oates, The Doobie Brothers, G.E. Smith, and Steve Cropper.
Sidelined in 2018 from brain surgery and a stroke, Mathley heroically continues to recover, and in 2021 moved into a new venture with the launch of his podcast. His latest creation brings together his vast knowledge from decades of experience as a guitar player, and as a lifelong fan of all kinds of music from heavy metal to blues, country to soul, gospel, rock, and everything in between in a riveting music interview podcast.
