IUP will welcome most new students this weekend with a one-stop check-in at the Kovalchick Complex, followed by a week of activities to get to know the university. Continuing students living on campus will move in the following weekend. Find everything you need to know about the start of the fall semester.

David Fyock and Tommy Letso, biology/pre-medical majors from Indiana County, are completing an undergraduate summer internship program at Indiana Regional Medical Center. The interns shadow a physician from a different medical specialty during each of the program’s eight weeks. 
Tim Paul, director of bands, led a workshop, “Proper Hinge Use = Healthy Conductors,” at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association summer conference in July. The clinic showed conductors how to position their bodies to reduce wear and tear on their joints.
