| Week of June 1: Congrats to Our Graduates!
| |
|
To all of our amazing graduating Dragons, we hope you "never forget the place you left" as we will never forget your energy, your smiles and all of your contributions to St. Michael's. We hope you will carry the lessons, values and friendships you acquired at our School in your hearts.
As you head out to new high schools and new adventures, our wish for you (adapted from the song "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts)...
"We hope you never look back but you never forget
All the ones who love you and the place you left
We hope you always forgive, and you never regret
And you help somebody every chance you get
May you find God's grace, in every mistake
And always give more than you take
But more than anything, more than anything...
Our wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to
May your dreams stay big, your worries stay small
And may you never need to carry more than you can hold
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to
We hope you know somebody loves you
And wants the same things too, yes this, is our wish."
Congratulations to all of our Eighth Graders! And remember: Once a Dragon, ALWAYS a Dragon!

| Wishing all of our Dragons big and small a truly amazing summer! Thanks for a great year!

Summer Assignments and Back To School
Whether you call it the Summer Slide or the Brain Drain, students can lose ground in reading and math over the summer break.
To help our students practice what they learned this year and exercise their brains while they are away, HERE is the link to summer assignments by grade, as well as recommended reading lists. You can also find this on our website under "Community/Summer-Back to School."
Once school is out, our team will be finalizing Back to School forms. Please check the website in mid-July for updates.

The Adventures of Flat Dragon! Our St M Dragon is excited to join our families on their summer adventures — whether that be on vacation, camping in the yard, swimming at the pool, or curling up with a good book. This summer, snap a photo of your family with Flat Dragon and send it to aamore@stmschool.net. We will track all of Dragon’s summer fun on St M social media! ( By sending in a photo, you give St. Michael’s permission to use it in School marketing and social media.)
Lower school students will each bring home a Flat Dragon this week. Our Middle School students and St M families may also download a Flat Dragon here on our website under "Summer/Back to School".
Show us your Dragon Pride and help our Dragon have the best summer ever!

Co-Curriculars at St M!
St. Michael’s believes that important learning also happens outside the classroom with purposeful exposure to a broad variety of activities and experiences. That is why we offer inclusive co-curricular and sports opportunities for our students at both campuses. For planning purposes, here is a full year list by season of the co-curricular and sports opportunities that will be offered in the coming school year. You can also access this information on our website under Community/Co-Curricular/Sports Info.

Got Library Books?
With the end of school in sight, this is a friendly reminder that we need families to help their children look for library books that need to be returned. All books should be returned by Monday, June 1. Also, families are welcome to contact the librarians by email if they want to know whether or not their child has any books out.
A reminder too that children can access our digital eBook collection this summer through St. Michael's. Every child has been assigned a username. Your passcode is: dragons. Please contact Mrs.Wise or Ms. Price if you have misplaced the username information.
