Johnny Montello Named to Lead Walsh University’s Women’s Basketball program |

Vice President for Athletics and Athletic Director, Christina Paone, has announced the appointment of Johnny Montello as the 11th Head Women’s Basketball Coach in Walsh history. Montello returns to Walsh having previously served as an Assistant Coach for the Walsh Women’s Basketball program from 2016 to 2019 and again from 2020 to 2022. Over the past three seasons, he has held the position of first assistant coach at Indiana University, Indianapolis, working under the successful former Head Coach Kate Bruce. | Read More

Students, Join Walsh Music Ensembles to Make Music and Build Community

Walsh University’s Department of Visual and Performing Arts offers a variety of music ensembles open to all students, regardless of major, for 0 or 1 credit. Whether you are interested in singing with the Chorale, performing in the Band, exploring global rhythms in the World Music Ensemble, or playing traditional church music with the Handbell Choir, there is a place for you to make music and build community. Walsh University to Highlight Longstanding Partnership with North Canton at International Conference |
Walsh University and the City of North Canton will be showcasing their long-time partnership at the International Town and Gown Conference on Friday, June 6, at Kent State University. Director of Marketing, Sean Ferguson, will co-present with alumnus and North Canton Deputy Director of Administration Benjamin Young ’20. Their presentation, "Cultivating Community Together for 60 Years: The Symbiotic Growth of Walsh University and the City of North Canton," will be part of the Community Building Track. This session highlights the enduring and productive relationship between the University and the City, exploring shared milestones in growth, economic collaboration, and the recently formalized Partners Program.

International AI Conference to Be Held Virtually July 31 |
Walsh University, in collaboration with UCC Ghana, will host the International AI Conference virtually on July 31. Organized by Dr. Amy J. Heston, the conference is free to attend and will take place via Zoom. Those interested in presenting can submit a proposal using the QR code provided by June 18. All submissions will undergo peer review, with notifications of acceptance expected by the week of June 30. Presentations will be 17 minutes long, followed by a 2-minute Q&A. Registration will remain open until a few days before the event, and those who register will receive the Zoom link in advance. Learn More (PDF)
