Dear colleagues,
It is an incredible honor to officially join the SUNY Oneonta community as the ninth president. I have been eager to begin working with you as it is clear that our college benefits from the commitment and expertise that each of you bring to your work. The important contributions made by every employee are directly tied to the decades of strength and vitality SUNY Oneonta has enjoyed, and will continue to experience in the future.
As I’ve mentioned, I plan to collaborate with all stakeholders to sustain a culture that is supportive of students and employees and to rebuild the nurturing community that has made SUNY Oneonta a wonderful place to live, learn and work for more than 130 years. This semester will be unique in its own way. Together we can utilize the good plans in place to ensure we have a safe, engaging and rewarding academic year. In the weeks and months ahead, I look forward to hearing your thoughts on how we can realize our mission of nurturing a community where students grow intellectually, thrive socially and live purposefully.
