Volunteers in Preparation (VIP) Training

New Adult Volunteers are welcome and essential to the 4-H program! 4-H is proud of being a proactive, youth-serving organization with an excellent reputation for providing a healthy and safe environment for its members. The volunteer orientation process assures the quality of the program. 

This training will be held virtually via Zoom. A minimum of 5 participants will be required for the training to be held. Registration is required three days before the date of the session. If the minimum is not reached, you will be notified two days before the training.

New in 2021-2022

Join Lego Club

Who: Any youth signed up for the Lego Project
Where: UWO Fond du Lac Campus
When: 4th Tuesday of the month, 6:30-7:30 pm
In the 2021-2022 4-H year, we are excited to announce we will have Lego Club. A youth leader is taking initiative to plan and organize Lego Club meetings. Youth can join the Lego club or be in the Lego Project. Sign up through 4HOnline. Lego Club is looking for volunteers to help support and supervise youth in Lego Club. If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity, please reach out to Tracy. This is a very exciting opportunity for a youth leader to share his spark with others who also have this interest!

Key Award

  • This is the highest state 4-H award earned by members who have shown consistent growth in their 4-H involvement, developed and applied their leadership skills, and actively participated in their  4-H club and community.
  • Grades 11-13
  • Up to 5 recipients from Fond du Lac County

Citizenship

  • Recipients have contributed back to 4-H at several levels such as: project, club, county, district, state, or beyond. They will also have high participation, strong achievement, and various leadership and community service roles.
  • Completed at least grade 11
  • Two recipients from Fond du Lac County

Leadership

  • Recipients display outstanding work as a youth leader on the club and county level, with emphasis on leadership, teaching, and sharing knowledge.
  • Completed at least grade 9
  • Maximum of 10 recipients from Fond du Lac County

4-H Growth & Achievement

  • Recipients have shown accomplishments in 4-H overall for an extended period of time. They show a positive attitude, involvement, growth, depth in projects, and in activities on the club and county level.
  • Completed at least grade 9
  • Maximum of 10 recipients from Fond du Lac County

Community Service Awards

Service to the community is a fundamental principle of 4-H because involvement in service helps shape lifelong values. Members are eligible to receive this award. Clubs are eligible to receive this award.
