The Office of Graduate Education and the Graduate Student Government Association are excited to welcome graduate students to campus with the Grad Welcome & Fall Picnic — an afternoon of food, giveaways, music, and more. Meet us on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Brock Football Practice Facility from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. This event is open to ALL graduate students and their families. No registration or RSVP is required; however, a Buzz Card is required for all students to enter. Large bags/backpacks discouraged—clear or small bags recommended.

Are you a PhD student in the College of Computing, College of Engineering, or College of Sciences who is passionate about technology innovation? Join the TI:GER Program (Technology Innovation: Generating Economic Results). TI:GER is a two-term educational program that can be taken as a PhD minor. Students can bring their own entrepreneurial ideas and work in teams with MBA students from the Scheller College of Business to turn ideas into impactful technology innovations. Introducing the Georgia Tech Mental Health Ally Program
|
The MHA program, created by the Center for Mental Health Care and Resources (CMHCR), helps students stay proactive about their own mental health while sharing resources with peers. Sign up for a 30-minute orientation to learn about counseling, referrals, and events, then volunteer with counselors on outreach and tabling activities. Participants receive a T-shirt, certificate, and giveaways.

Additional Opportunities: Social Action Research Through Photography
|
Belonging and Student Support is seeking graduate students who have something to say about belonging on campus! We’re asking you to participate in a social action research project through photography by recording your experience with campus belonging and making recommendations for enhancing initiatives that work. A cohort of 8-15 students will be chosen, and students will receive a stipend up to $75. Participants must be full-time, on-campus master’s or Ph.D. students who are 18 years or older, and they must attend at least three out of four in-person sessions on Fridays at 2 p.m. between Oct. 24-Nov. 14.

Georgia Tech Arts is thrilled to launch our inaugural Georgia Tech Arts Graduate Student Salon. Salons will be an opportunity for arts-connected graduate students and postdocs from across the institute to meet one another, resource and insight-share, and experience some art together. Additionally, we'll have time to eat and chat, with prompts from Shamim Shoomali's new illustrated book about the Georgia Tech graduate student experience, Between Classes. You'll even have a chance to enter a raffle to receive a copy of her book! The Salon takes place on September 3 in Crosland Tower. See you there.
