Regional Educators to Support 4-County Area

As of January 1, Fond du Lac, Ozaukee, Sheboygan, and Washington Counties Agriculture Extension Programming is moving to a regional model, providing stronger support and educational resources in the area of dairy production management, crops and soils management, and farm business management. 
The educators will work collaboratively across the four counties by focusing in their specific subject matter to design and deliver educational meetings, field days, and resources to meet the agriculture community needs. Each educator will maintain office hours in their original counties.

Badger Dairy Insight Virtual Series Returns 

Join the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension’s Dairy Program bi-weekly on Tuesdays from 1 to 2:30 pm CST for the Badger Dairy Insight webinar series. There is no charge to participate in the sessions, but pre-registration is required to allow access to the session. 
Providing the latest research and updates related to animal welfare, nutrition, data management, heifer management, and reproduction, the Badger Dairy Insight will help you improve production, profitability, and efficiency while maintaining animal well-being.
Six webinars are set starting January 11, then offered every other Tuesday at 1 pm.

Private Pesticide Applicator In-Person Test Session

January 11 | 8:30AM-12:30PM

Fond du Lac County is offering in-person exam sessions for those who choose to complete training online or self-study. Exams are held at the UWO Fond du Lac Campus on the second Tuesday of the month from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm. Seating is limited. Available dates are January 11, February 8, and April 12.

USDA Dairy Margin Coverage Update

January 12 | 1:00-2:00PM

Mark Stephenson, Director for the Center for Dairy Profitability and Dairy Policy & Analysis at UW-Madison will cover what a producer needs to know for the 2022 DMC sign-up and changes to the DMC program that could affect current and previous years’ coverage of the program. Registration is required.
