Tulsa Office of Film, Music, Art & Culture and Sounds OK Latest Mix and Master Series on How to Get Your Music Into Film and TV
The Tulsa Office of Film, Music, Art & Culture and Sounds OK continue their Mix and Master: Educational Sessions for Creatives series with a new session presented in collaboration with Mayfest on Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Tulsa University 101. Mix and Master is a new FREE program that offers learning and networking opportunities.
This session will begin with demo listening, where artists have an opportunity to get live feedback from music industry professionals (demo submission required) followed by a panel discussion on How to Get Your Music into Film & TV featuring veteran music supervisor Andrea von Foerster ("500 Days of Summer," "Yellowstone").

OSU-Tulsa to Offer Directing on a Budget Workshop
OSU-Tulsa is offering Directing on a Budget, a three-week hands-on workshop designed to equip emerging filmmakers with practical skills in digital production while emphasizing cost-saving strategies. Taught by filmmaker and educator Mathew Thomas Foss (“Roman Bickerstaff: The Rise and Fall of an RA”), the course covers the fundamentals of pre-production, shooting, editing and marketing for micro-budget projects. This course will take place May 12, 19 and June 2 from 7 to 9 p.m. in person.

Meridian Tech to Host Virtual Key Conversation: Funding Your Film
Meridian Technology Center will host Funding Your Film on May 15 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. This next installment of their Key Conversations virtual series connecting aspiring filmmakers with industry professionals. Featuring Oklahoma filmmakers Dathan Smith (“L.I.F.E. Anthologies”) and Uraina Smith (Co-Founder of the Red Brick Road Film Festival), the session will explore creative strategies for financing independent film projects.
