Utah Board of Education Approves SUU's First Doctorate Program

For the first time in our history, SUU will offer a doctorate-level program beginning in the Fall of 2022. The new Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) will differ from a research focused Ph.D. degree and will specifically train professionals for practical application in psychotherapy and psychological testing. The new doctorate program will help increase access to mental health care, particularly in rural Utah.

How to Pay for College

If you have a prospective college student, or know one, SUU is offering the perfect workshop to explore how to pay for college. Jayson Matlock, SUU Admissions Financial Wellness Coordinator, will discuss FAFSA and why a student should complete it, how to apply for a variety of scholarships, understanding financial obligations related to a college education, and creating a financial plan for success.

Sipho Ncube Featured on Young South African List

Pre-med student Sipho Ncube was recently featured on the prestigious 2020 edition of the 200 Young South Africans list by Mail & Guardian. More than 8,000 people were nominated for this year’s feature. Sipho, the youngest person featured in the Health category, aspires to be a medical doctor and serve individuals in rural communities.
