Dear Division Colleagues,
March is wrapping up, but before it does, we have an important (and delicious) holiday to celebrate—National Something on a Stick Day which is TODAY, March 28! Whether it’s corn dogs, popsicles, or kebabs, this quirky holiday reminds us that sometimes the best things in life come with a little extra support—just like the work we do for our students every day.
To commemorate this day, we invite you to drop by the VPSL suite in the SLC today between 3 and 4 p.m. to put a treat of your choice on a stick. We have lots of options. The mystery is alluring, no?

The Student Life Staff Development Committee held our fifth event of this academic year last week. Continuing to focus on our spring theme of From Vision to Action, Accomplishing Goals: Dream Big, Start Small, Keep Going, this interactive session featured Broc Edwards, Director of Learning & Leadership in Human Resources, helped us to think through best practices on setting goals and putting systems in place to stay on track to achieving them.
Be sure to mark your calendars for our final staff development event on Thursday, April 17 (10:30 a.m., Cashion 506), and visit the Student Life Staff Development webpage to learn more about our themes, content and events from this year and years past.

Spring Break Missions Trips – Over 100 students and leaders served on mission trips over Spring Break with the department of Missions, Service & Public Life. Our teams worked with partners across the globe, from right here in Waco to as far as Amsterdam. Trips included pre-medical students providing checkups in the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica, business students working to train and empower small business owners in Guatemala, a BearAid student team providing aid across various locations in Texas, a team of Baylor students collaborating with visiting Japanese students from Seinan Gakuin University to address food insecurity in Waco, and more. We love seeing our students use their vocations to love our global neighbors!
