Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Center for Precision Medicine and Data Sciences (CPMDS), we are pleased to announce a new Lunch and Learn Series focused on practical approaches to using clinical data, multi-omics, imaging, and artificial intelligence in precision medicine research at UC Davis.
This six-session series, held during the spring and fall terms, will highlight UC Davis–specific resources and platforms, including clinical data access, omics cores, imaging analytics, and responsible AI applications. Sessions are designed for clinicians, researchers, trainees, and staff, and are open to all levels of experience.

From Clinic to Dataset: EMR Structure and UC Davis Data Resources
An introduction to how clinical data are generated and organized within the UC Davis Health Epic electronic medical record. This session covers basic relational database concepts, data access pathways, and the UC Health Data Warehouse, which integrates records from over 10 million patients across the UC system.

Imaging Data and AI at UC Davis: Opportunities in Diagnosis and Therapy
This session explores the use of artificial intelligence in medical imaging, including radiology and pathology. Participants will learn how image-based AI is improving diagnostics and therapy development, along with key challenges in validation and clinical deployment.
