The U.S. Air Force Academy Association & Foundation has recently learned of the death of Col. (Ret.) Michael J. Nowak, CS-13, Class of 1979. Col. Nowak passed away on June 6, 2026, in Waxahachie, Texas.

| A Rosary will be held at 9 a.m. on June 16, 2026, at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home, 1826 US-287 BUS, Waxahachie, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow.
A Burial Service will be held at a later date at the USAFA Cemetery, USAF Academy, Colorado. Service details and base access to follow when available.
His family has suggested memorial donations be made in lieu of flowers to the The Association & Foundation at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
