Fall registration is
now open!
Registration begins NOW
On our website's home page, you'll now find the link to register online and the forms to register by mail.
Our website has been updated with our current content and the office has begun entering the registrations we received by mail. If you have been checking our website regularly and don't now see the current content, you may need to clear your browser's cache to refresh your browser.
The ILR Fall 2020 Course Catalog will not be mailed this semester due to the financial implications of the pandemic and the additional time and workload required to move the fall semester online. The beauty of having the catalog online is that you can enlarge it as needed. After opening the catalog, look for the round + and - buttons in the lower right margin. These enlarge and minimize controls will time out; to make them reappear, move your mouse over the lower right margin of your screen.

Easy as 1, 2, 3

Todayour website was updated with a live link to online registration and our office began processing mailed registrations in the order they were received.
While virtual, we have two easy ways to register--online or by mail. Online is your quickest option and immediately reserves your seat in a class. Online registration–accessed from the ILR website–takes only minutes and requires no passwords. Once you experience the ease of registering online, you'll understand the appeal. It's the most efficient means of registering, both for you and the ILR office. If registering by mail, if you're unable to print the registration form, simply send us your registration information, courses, and payment.

Watch your digits

Oh, the errors we see. The information you provide during registration will overwrite what we have in our database. Transposed email addresses and house or phone numbers ensure that we'll lose you. And we certainly don't want to lose you. Please be extra diligent with your digits.

Early birds encouraged!

Due to the extra work necessary to provide the virtual semester, registration will close September 28, one week prior to the start of classes. Please register early to enable us to get all the necessary materials to you.

Additionally, some classes have limited seating and may reach capacity. To ensure you are not waitlisted for your favorites, register early for best availability. Never hesitate to add your name to a waiting list. Openings often occur and/or room changes made based on waiting list sizes.

Make a difference sign
Your support makes a difference
If you knew you could make a HUGE financial difference for years to come without spending a penny, would you spare five minutes to make it happen? PLEASE support ILR through the Kroger Community Rewards program, a no-cost, no-sell, nothing-to-buy fundraiser. Once enrolled, each time you swipe your Kroger Plus card, Kroger will donate a percentage (up to 4%) of your total purchases to ILR. Kroger divides these charitable funds among all participating non-profit organizations. With only minimal effort on your part (a few minutes to register your affiliation to ILR) you can help us offset our operating expenses.
If you're already supporting another non-profit through this program, that's great. But if you're not, please don't leave these dollars on the Kroger table. Simply go to KrogerCommunityRewards.com to enroll. When prompted, use ILR's Kroger Rewards Organization number: BT008. Let us know if we can help you get enrolled.

Agriculture Around Oxford and Butler County is Big Business
On Thursday mornings this fall, J.T. Benitez, extension educator for agriculture and natural resources at the Butler County OSU Extension, will be joined by local farmers, producers, and more to enlighten us about the big business of ag in our area.

Agricultural industries represent about $124 billion in economic output per year for Ohio. Agricultural commodities in Ohio generated about $8.3 billion in cash receipts in 2018, primarily in soybeans, corn, dairy, eggs, hogs, and cattle/calves. How does this important industry work in our area, what are its challenges, and what is some relevant history? Representatives of The Ohio State University Extension Service (OSU ES) and the Butler Soil and Water Conservation District (Butler SWCD) as well as several area farmers will address agricultural issues in this series of lectures.
