June Dairy Day Volunteers Needed

June Dairy Month is a state-wide celebration of the industry that defines Wisconsin and plays a critical part in our economy as the one and only, America’s Dairyland. What a great way to kick off the month by attending June Dairy Day! If your club would like to be involved in volunteering for the June Dairy Day event, contact Amy Ries at Envision Greater Fond du Lac at (920) 322-2292.

Summer is just around the corner, and it’s time to start thinking about the Annual June Dairy Month June Dairy Day. June Dairy Day is a great kickoff to June Dairy Month! The Envision Greater Fond du Lac Agri-Business Council, in partnership with National Exchange Bank and Trust, invites the community to the 38th Annual June Dairy Days Celebration on Saturday, June 3. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. near National Exchange Bank and Trust, 130 South Main Street in Fond du Lac. This free community appreciation event is open to the public.

Animals Needed at Petting Zoo
The “city” children look forward to petting and visiting with the animals. We are asking for your members to bring their farm animals to the zoo. We would like a variety of animals (goats, pigs, lambs, donkeys, ducks, chickens, horses, etc.). We will have hand washing stations available.

1. Participation involves club members bringing farm animals to the bank for the duration of the zoo - Saturday, June 3, 2023. The zoo runs from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. We would like all animals in place by 8:30 a.m. Club members also agree to bring a water container, food, and bedding (straw or sawdust) for their animal(s).

2. The Envision Greater Fond du Lac Agri-Business Council agrees to provide pens and water.

3. Club members may wish to accompany their animals in the pens to assure proper handling by guests and share stories and answer questions about their animals.

In celebration of Wisconsin’s dairy industry, the event will feature a variety of farm animals, dairy games, prizes, and more. A sampling of Wisconsin’s finest dairy products will be available including several cheese varieties, grilled cheese, butter popcorn and milk. There will be activities for the whole family.

If your 4-H club would like to sponsor a dairy game, serve cheese samples, or help work the games, please give us a call. We invite your club to participate. Join us in our efforts to promote June Dairy Month! Please let us know by Friday, May 19, 2023 if you would like to participate.

For more details, call Amy Ries at 920.322.2292 or email at aries@envisiongreaterfdl.com
Don’t delay! Plans are underway, and we would love to include you. We look forward to working with you.
