Uniting Against the Digital Threat of Human Trafficking |
On Saturday morning, Walsh University and Not For Sale: One Step At A Time hosted the sixth annual Community Freedom Summit featuring keynotes by David Frattare from the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Michael Wheeler of Patriot Software. The day began with the impactful Red Sand Project. Participants poured red sand into sidewalk cracks to symbolize the vulnerable individuals who fall victim to human trafficking. Attendees also joined Freedom Educators on East Maple Street, holding educational signs, and visited 17 community partners at the Marketplace in the Cecchini Center—the largest participation since the summit’s inception. Library Student Assistant Spotlight: Hamish Watson, London, UK, Business Management |

Here at Walsh, I play Rugby. My position is called Hooker. The reason behind that is because it is one of the specific skills to my position. You ‘Hook’ the ball in the scrums. My transition to Walsh from NDC has been very smooth. Like many of my fellow ex NDC students, we have all enjoyed the massive upgrade of campus here at Walsh. Now that I have adjusted to the new surroundings and routines, I am having a great time, attempting to meet new people, and be as involved in campus life as possible.

My favorite thing about Walsh is all the campus activities. Every day there is something new to try or be involved in, which I find amazing, and it makes for an enjoyable student-campus experience. I really enjoy working in the library because of my fellow workers. They have made it very welcoming and easy. They make it enjoyable to come to and work at the library.
